Growing up, Kyle devoted a tremendous amount of time to athletics, competing in baseball, basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and golf. Kyle attended McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, NY where he competed during seasons of volleyball, basketball, and baseball. He found great success on the baseball field, where he competed on the varsity level for four years, starting at shortstop for three of them. His career was highlighted by a sectional title, three All City-Catholic awards, and leading the Knights as a senior to a 26-1 season. Kyle also competed for the Western NY team in the 2004 Empire State Games, leading the team to its third gold medal in a row.
Kyle’s high-school baseball achievements helped him earn a full scholarship to Division 1 Binghamton University. His collegiate career contained many highlights, including earning All-Rookie Team honors in 2006, First Team All Conference honors for shortstop in 2008, and First Team All Conference honors for 3rd base in 2009. Kyle was named a team captain by his coaches for both his junior and senior years. He capped off his baseball career with a tremendous 2009 season, leading the Bearcats to their first ever 30 win season, which included a third consecutive America East conference regular season championship, a first ever America East tournament championship, and a first ever appearance in a NCAA Regional tournament, which took place in Greenville, SC, where the Bearcats defeated a 42 win George Mason team.
Kyle graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Economics, but wants to continue his involvement with athletics. He has always been a strong believer in athletic training and has seen how great of an impact it can have on improving an athlete’s performance in his or her sports. From personal experience, he knows just how important hard work and dedication can be in becoming a better athlete and a better person, and would like nothing more than to pass this knowledge on to younger generations of athletes.
